Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Susan Nakhumicha on Wednesday inaugurated the new Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) board management, a notable step towards streamlining affordable health care services across Nairobi County.
Dr. Samier Muravvej will lead the board as Chairperson while Dr. Evanson Kamuri is the CEO; Dr. Julius Ogato, Alfred M. Kagika, Emmanuel Bitta, Prof. George Osanjo, Dr. Joseph Wafula Mutunga, Catherine Kathure, Thomas Kipkoskei and Calvin Nyachoti will sit on as members.
Speaking during the event, CS Nakhumicha noted that the move demonstrated the important role that KNH plays in delivering exceptional health services for city residents.
“The government is committed to supporting the management of KNH in fulfilling its mandate and providing high-quality healthcare services to all citizens,” she said.
“The newly appointed board members bring a wealth of expertise in healthcare, administration, and governance.”
She also expressed confidence that the new KNH board will contribute greatly to the health facility’s prosperity in future.
