AFC Leopards has been slapped with a three point deduction and half a million shilling fine for the cancellation of the FKF Premier League match against Kakamega Homeboyz atBhukhungu Stadium.
The FKF Leagues and Competitions commiteeruled in favour of Kakamega Homeboyz and awarded them with three points and two goals.
AFC Leopards fans reacted by invading the pitch after center referee Michael Obuya failed to punish the Homeboyz goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo for handling the ball outside his box.
Kakamega Homeboyz were a leading 1-0 when the chaos erupted.Michael Obuya was injured in the process and AFC is expected to cater fully for his medical expenses or compensate him.
Leopards will also play their next four matches behind closed doors.The FKF committee report further mentioned that Leopards Headcoach Patrick Aussems and goalkeeper trainer LawrenceWebo for their conduct during the match and the chaos.
AFC Leopards fans actions prompted Homeboyz fans to respond sparking a cat and mouse affair with fans theowing stones at each other.
The police had to call for back up and use teargas to disperse the angry fans.
AFC leopards now sit eighth on the table while Kakamega Homeboyz are fifth.
