Chelsea Football club has announced the sacking of Graham Potter. In a club statement released on Sunday afternoon, Chelsea Fc expressed their depest glatitude to Potter for the time spent at the club.
Bruno Salter will take over the club as interim manager as a suitable replacement is sought for.
Graham Potter has spent just 7 months at the club but boasts of the poorest form of any Chelsea Manager in thePremier League era.
Potter joined from Brighton to replace the newly hired Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel.Tuchel had a bad start to the season and was just approaching 100 days as a Blue when the news were dropped on him.
In his time at the club,Potter has led the team to the quaryer finals of the Champions league and will face Real Madrid.
The successful story has not been the same in the premier league with Chelsea finding themselves 11th after yesterday’s 2 goal loss to Aston Villa.
Despite spending 330 million Euros in January transfers only ,Potter and his boys were unable to give results in which led to the call of his sacking by Chelsea fans.
He had signed a 5 year deal earning 12 million euros per year.
Chelsea still have 9 matches to the end of the season and have prenty of options when it comes to a possible replacement.
Former Spain International coach Luis Enrique had earlier expressed his intentions of coaching in the premier league and Chelsea would be a suitable fit.
