Flamboyant singer and entrepreneur Esther Akothe, popularly known as Akothee, is set to walk down the aisle today alongside her soul mate Dennis ‘Omosh’ Schweizer.

The grand wedding, which is currently happening at the Windsor Golf Hotel in Nairobi, has attracted some of the biggest and most influential names in politics and entertainment across Kenya.
Akothee is set to take her vows under a giant white dome garlanded with sparkly crescent moon chandeliers and festooned with white and green flowers.
The nuptials, set to unorthodoxly happen on a Monday, have attracted heavyweights including Kisumu First Lady Madam Dorothy Nyong’o, Migori First Lady Dr. Agnes Ayacko, former Mombasa gubernatorial candidate Suleiman Shahbal and High Court advocate, Professor PLO Lumumba.
Others who have already arrived at the exquisite festivities are media personality Janet Mbugua, comedian Njugush, radio presenter Alex Mwakideu, actress Sandra Dacha and more.
Resplendently dressed in flowing traditional attire, Akothee’s parents, her extended family and the family of Omosh, who are presumed to have flown into the country a few days ago, are also present.
Popular rib-cracker Dr. Ofweneke is the MC.
Early April, Akothee jetted back to the country from France, where she had gone shopping for her gown ahead of her wedding to her Swiss fiancé.
Upon arrival, the singer set the record straight on the matter of exactly how many marriages she had been through.
“I have tried getting married three times, but it never worked out. I was only once married once to the father of my children. The other two white exes I was with, never married me. At some point I thought I would get married to the father of my third child, but it turned out to be an extreme sport being with him,” Akothee said.
