DJ Joe Mfalme, Team to Be Arraigned Today Over Death of Police Officer

Veteran entertainer Joeseph Mwenda, popularly known as DJ Joe Mfalme and his team are scheduled to be arraigned today after allegedly being accused of assaulting a police officer.

News about Joe and his team being arrested went viral on March 23, and details claimed that the DJ and his team allegedly roughed up the Kabete Police Station Deputy DCIO Felix Kelian, who later succumbed.

However, the DJ’s management announced via his Instagram that he is expected to be in court today after being detained for 14 days.

Part of the press statement read:

“We want to go express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering loyalty and encouragement during this challenging period. Our thoughts and prayers are still with the family and friends of those affected by this tragedy. The past 14 days have been intense, but your messages of solidarity and visits have kept the team going. DJ Joe Mfalme and the team head back to Kibera Law Courts to hopefully hear the outcome of the investigations.”

The court session is expected to start at 9 am, and his team maintained that they will provide details once they are done with the court session.

DJ Joe breaks silence after arrest

The entertainer issued a formal statement after he was linked to the death of Inspector Felix Kelian.

In his statement on Sunday, March 24, Mfalme expressed his sympathy to Kelian’s family, mentioning that the incident was regrettable and that they will cooperate with the investigations.
