Eden Hazard has is now Real Madrid most expensive transfer player.Hazard joined Madrid from Chelsea in 2019 and penned a five year deal.
The deal saw Real pay 86 million Euros to Chelsea,the same amount that they paid to bring in the now retired Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspurs in 2013.
With add ons triggered on Hazards contract,it sees him become the all time most expensive player in the history of Real Madrid.The sum adds up to nearly 143 million Euros.
Despite the huge amount of cash spent on him,Hazard has not quite impressed for the Spanish Giants appearing more often than not on the bench.According to the athletic Hazard is still a popular figure in the dressing room but most players believe he can not help the team in any way.
In the last two years,Real has attempted to cash in on the player to no success.Despite this gesture by the club,Eden revealed that he is ready to stay and see out his five years contract in a meeting held recently between the two parties.
Since the move from Stamford Bridge Hazard has played 73 games in nearly four years scoring only seven goals.He has featured seven times this season scoring only once despite being injury free.His last appearance in La Liga came in September and has not featured for Carlo Ancelloti in over two months.
According to the Sun Hazard and his manager Carlo do not have a smooth relationship and that maybe one of the reasons why he has not featured as much as he would have liked.He has been injury prone since his arrival but has been available this season.Despite that,he has appeared 18 times as unused substitute despite his coach promising him minutes.
His son also joined Real Madrid academy which proves that the Belgium Star is well settled in Spain.
