Eugene Wamalwa

Speaking at Vihiga county, Eugene asserted that the most meaningful Christmas present Kenya Kwanza can offer to its citizens is substantial fuel reduction

Former cabinet secretary of the ministry of defence, Eugene Wamalwa has berated the Kenya Kwanza government for overburdening Kenyans with over taxation.

Speaking at Vihiga county, Eugene asserted that the most meaningful Christmas present Kenya Kwanza can offer to its citizens is substantial fuel reduction.

“Globally, crude oil prices has gone done. Including our neighbouring country Tanzania, but the Kenya Kwanza government has still insisted on the same prices, threatening that the prices will soon go higher.”

According to Eugene, the Kenya Kwanza regime has no interest when it comes to solving the country’s fuel problem. It instead has its focus on other issues that have no emergency.

“During the meetings at Bomas, the current government has no intention of addressing the main challenges ie, fuel, food and electricity. Instead their aim is towards government offices,” Eugene explained.

Eugene also went ahead to criticise the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) move on increasing licence prices on motorists.

NTSA and e-Citizen

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has urged motorists to validate their e-Citizen credentials; as it prepares to shut down the Transport Integrated Management System (TIMS) portal from Friday, 29th December 2023 (midnight) to Monday, 1st January 2024 (midnight).

The Authority noted that it will limit transactions on all NTSA services during the period. All NTSA online service access will be integrated on the e-Citizen platform.

Following this, only e-Citizen login credentials, that is username and password, will be used to access NTSA services from Tuesday, 2nd January 2024.

NTSA will undertake virtual trainings and demonstrations from 18th to 22nd December 2023 to help familiarize clients with the service flows. The registration process is not charged and will be available on the NTSA portal.
