Fake lawyer, Brian Mwenda speaks for the first time following accusations of him impersonating a High Court lawyer.
In his statement, Brian is asking Kenyans to pray for him amid the court case.
I cannot disclose much due to the ongoing investigations, but all I can say is maybe this was for a greater purpose. Let’s see how it ends, and keep praying for me,”
Despite condemnation by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and the country’s Director of Public Prosecutions, Brian Mwenda has been able to gain several supporters.
He has been praised by Kenya’s Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) as a “brilliant young mind” who has succeeded “without traditional qualifications”.
Former governor Nairobi county, Mike Sonko has so far backed Brian Mwenda case and the two of them presented themselves at the CID headquarters yesterday.
I have been helping before even before I became a governor. Brian is a Kenyan and I will be with him till the end. To me he has committed no offence yet, innocent until proven guilty,” Mike Sonko stated.
Brian was released on a Sh100,000 cash bail on Tuesday night ahead of his arraignment.
