Harambee Starlets match against Alabania has been cancelled by the Federation of Kenya Football,FKF.
In a press release released by the fkf,the match has been cancelled due to logistics reason.The match was set to kick off on 11th April in Tirana but the federation fears the Starlets might not get there in time.
The decision has been arrived to after considerable consultation with the ministry of sports and the Government of Albania.
In the wake of this news the team camp had been dissolved and players sent back to their clubs.
A total of 33 players had been called up including the most in form local players and 17 others who play abroad.Thesquad was to be led by newly appointed headcoach Godfrey Oduor.
Kenya Starlets has not played a match in over a year due to the FIFA ban that prevented them to do so.
It is also the second friendly match to be canceled by the FKF.
“Even so the federation remains commited to the wholesome development of football in Kenya and is actively engaging other countries with a view of finding a suitable friendly match for the Starlets in the next Fifa window”,read the statement.
