Former Citizen TV presenter Kimani Mbugua has disclosed that he secured a business partnership just days after Germany-based Kenyan TikToker Nyako and Oga Obina highlighted his story on their highly followed platforms
Kimani who recently sought assistance to secure funds for his upkeep, has expressed his deep gratitude to the two benevolent individuals who left their normal schedules to come to his aid.
Kimani Mbugua spoke out about the incredible influence that Oga Obina and Nyako had on his life and how their willingness to highlight his financial struggles to the public not only provided him with the necessary financial support but also led to a significant business partnership.
Nyako and Obina each hosted separate live streams, encouraging people to contribute towards helping the distressed anchor. Their combined efforts resonated with a generous audience, and the contributions poured in.
Nyako, based in Germany, is renowned for her contentious TikTok content and live streams, but she has recently emerged as a leading figure in aiding creators in need. This is exemplified by her assistance to Brian Chira, for whom she not only orchestrated fundraising efforts but also facilitated his move to a more favorable city apartment.
Obina too, is no stranger to supporting struggling content creators and played a pivotal role in aiding Brian Chira. He provided three thousand Kenyan shillings as a transportation token after hosting him on a show. However, this act of kindness took a turn during one of Chira’s infamous midnight live sessions, where he criticized Obina, calling the three thousand shillings a mere “peasant’s pay” and even offered to return the money. In response, a few days later, Obina clarified that the three thousand Kenyan shillings were not a payment for hosting him on the show but simply a gesture to assist the controversial TikToker in getting home.
Despite these minor altercations, both Obina and Nyako remain committed to their mission of extending help to creators in need.
