The survey was conducted on 3,009 respondents between November 25 to December 7, 2023 as reported by the CSs and excluded activities and visitors to the offices

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has led in the number of foreign trips for the year 2023 with 16 foreign trips in 11 months.

According to a survey released by TIFA on Wednesday,  Musalia who doubles up as CS for Foreign Affairs has made 16 foreign trips in 11 months, from January to November.

He is then followed by Sports and Youth Affairs Cabinet Secretary, Ababu with 13 foreign trips.

Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication, and Digital Economy Eluid Owalo as well as Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs Salim Mvurya, tied with 12 trips each.

In the following order, Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture Mithika Linturi made a total of 9 foreign trips.

Next in the rankings are Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry Soipan Tuya, who made 7 trips abroad, and following closely was the Cabinet Secretary for Roads, Transport, and Public Works Kipchumba Murkomen with a total of 6 trips.

Beneath the list was Cabinet Minister for Health Susan Nakhumicha who is reported to have taken 3 trips abroad.

Above all, Cabinet Secretary of Interior and Administration Kithure Kindiki and Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu are reported to have made no foreign trips.

The survey was conducted on 3,009 respondents between November 25 to December 7, 2023 as reported by the CSs and excluded activities and visitors to the offices.

In addition, the number of foreign trips was according to what was posted on their social media handles.

Last month, Ruto also noted that he would cut the Executive’s travel budget by Ksh500 million, whereby the funds would be channelled to construct a manufacturing plant for developing assistive devices to assist learners with disabilities.
