The Orange Democratic Movement has called out the government after claiming that the security detail of their top coalition leaders have been withdrawn.
ODM on Raila Odinga’s axed security detail
ODM party via a tweet shared on Tuesday 2, claimed that those affected included their party leader Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua and all their elected leaders.
This comes a few hours after the country witnessed return of the Azimio La Umoja One Coalition led demonstrations.
A day ago, Nairobi Police Boss declined to give Azimio the go ahead to host their demonstrations that have since left people with mixed reactions.
Raila had paused the demonstrations to pave way for bipartisan talks which were to find the way forward on their demands.
But, in a letter shared on Raila’s Twitter page, the demonstrations were to resume today despite the president, William Ruto warning the opposition.
This is what ODM shared on their Twitter page:
“The Ruto gov’t has ordered the immediate withdrawal of security details of PL Raila Odinga, Karua, Musyoka together with those of other elected leaders in Azimio.”
