Ex-Gengetone artist Peter Miracle Baby has been hospitalized since January 16th, when his family rushed him for medical attention.

Since then, there has been an outpouring of quick recovery messages from his concerned fans. His wife, Carol Katrue, has been at his bedside, watching over her husband.

She has now opened up about his medical condition in an interview with Kikuyu singer Karangu Muraya. Carol Katrue says their medical bill so far is at sh1 million.

She explained,

He has been having stomach issues since 2018 when he went for the first surgery. The doctors said they were removing that growth, they did a CT scan, and they said things were blocking, so they did the surgery. In May, his problems returned. We returned to the same hospital, and they asked us to do an Ultrasound. They could not see his appendix. Then we did a CT Scan. It emerged that the other hospital removed his appendix. We thought they had removed his growth instead. They also didn’t return his organs properly.”

Katrue claimed doctors mistook the obstruction for a growth leading to an intestinal obstruction.

“So they took out the growth, so when he went in for surgery and didn’t find the growth, I think they removed the appendix, so after they connected him in 2023. So more often he found his intestines closing a lot; we would take him to the hospital for some injection that would temporarily solve the problem and be discharged,” she added.

“So on Sunday when we came to the hospital, we assumed it was the same thing.” She recalled.

The family thought it was a simple and fast procedure. This was not the case.

“We were sent to do a CT Scan, and it was discovered that there was still a problem with his intestines. For two days, they tried using a pipe and medicine, but nothing worked. On Wednesday last week, his stomach was swollen; he couldn’t eat. He couldn’t go to the toilet,” she continued.

“He went for an emergency surgery. They found intestines zimepasuka, zikamwaga choo kwa tumbo. Tumbo ikasaifishwa. So they stitched him up, then found the wound was leaking something. Medics removed the stitches, inserted valves to suck out the pus as the infection was bad. He has been on oxygen but not stabilised. We have just been here; he will be on the machine for one week.” a heartbroken Katrue revealed.
