Siaya Deputy Governor William Oduol will this afternoon know whether he will be impeached by members of Siaya County Assembly or not.

The County Assembly’s special committee that was established to investigate the grounds for the impeachment motion that was tabled by East Asembo Ward MCA Gordon Onguru is expected to present its report for consideration this afternoon.
The committee, which is chaired by Yimbo East Ward MCA Francis Otiato had been given ten days to investigate the ground for impeachment and present its report by today June 8, 2023.
During the ten days’ period the committee collected views from members of the public and subsequently gave Mr. Oduol a chance to be heard in regard to the allegations which were levelled against him.
Mr. Onguru has accused the deputy governor of gross violation of the constitution and other laws, abuse of office and gross misconduct.
Oduol had however denied those allegations when he appeared before the County Assembly’s special committee meeting which lasted over ten hours on Tuesday June 6, 2023.
