Kenya Shujaa Sevens have had a season to forget in the HSBC rugby series.
Currently there are only 3 more tours left to the end of the season with Shujaa sitting 13th on the table which mean they face relegation if results are not provided at the Singapore sevens happening this weekend.
Shujaa are in relagation batlle with Uruguay,Spain,Japan and Canada.They require to atleast qualify from the group stage in order to secure enough points to save next season. Currently they have thirteen points to their name and a result is needed in order to turn things around.
They however problems that needs addressing amid them injuries.Brunson Madigu of Strathmore joins to replace the injured Tony Omondi while while Edmud Anya is still under fitness test after sustaining an injury in Hong Kong last week.
They have been pooled in pool C together alongside France,USA and Uruguay. The first match will be against in form Franceat 6.20 a.m East Africa time.Thetwo teams have met 4 times in the recent times with France winning thrice.
The second Match will be against USA at 9.24a.m .The two teams have met only once where the United States won 26-19.
The third match will be played at 1.07 p.m against Uruguay.The two teams have met thrice this season with Uruguay winning twice.Kenya win came in Sydney which was 24-19.
Shujaa Sevens Captain,Nelson Ayoo has said the team has gone over their mistakes and learnt on areas to improve.He promised that Kenya would go all out to make sure their got to the quarters.
