Kenyan hip hop artist Nazizi Hirji and her husband are grappling with grief following the sudden demise of their three-year-old son, Jazeel.
The heartbreaking incident unfolded at a Tanzanian hotel, as disclosed in a statement shared on social media by Nazizi and her close associate Wyre on Wednesday.
The statement revealed that Jazeel lost his life in an unfortunate accident at the family’s lodging in Tanzania.
The grieving parents transferred Jazeel’s body to Nairobi, where he was laid to rest on the same day, adhering to his religious practices.
Expressing the profound impact of the loss, Nazizi said, “The void left by the loss is both immeasurable, and the pain is unbearable.” She appealed for privacy during this challenging time, asking for compassion and understanding from the public.
“We kindly request everyone to allow Nazizi and her family the space they need to begin the healing process. A more detailed statement will be made available once the family has had some time to mourn their tremendous loss,” the statement concluded.
Celebrities and media personalities have shared messages of condolences with rapper Nazizi after losing her three-year-old son.
Sharing her message, Zawadi Nyong’o wrote, “I’m soooo sorry Naz! This is beyond heartbreaking. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May you feel the embrace of Spirit as you begin this journey of grief.”
