- Social media users sharply criticised him for being tone-deaf on issues affecting people in residential areas among them noise pollution
Trevor Ombija has left people online with mixed reactions after a video emerged of him defending a restaurant accused of noise pollution, located in a residential area.
In the video, shared online by Kileleshwa MCA, Robert Alai, the TV journalist could be heard proposing that a complaint should only hold water when there are more than half of the people raising the same issue.
“I’ve had back-to-back issues in terms of the sound levels that are there. One thing that I would like to propose, and like the chair had already said, when there’s a complaint against a bar owner or a restaurant, let’s have more than half of the people complaining. If the apartments are 20, 15 of them should show us their lease, sign and tell us this is the problem,” he said.
