TV journalist Waihiga Mwaura has quit Citizen TV after serving in the media house for 14 years. He announced his move via his Twitter page.
Waihiga Mwaura heads to BBC
The scribe who was the head of digital at Royal Media Services announced that he is moving to the BBC where his focus will be on telling African stories.
Waihiga had in the past won BBC’s Komla Dumor journalism award where he also showed exemplary skills which gave his professional career a major boost.
This is what he wrote on his Twitter page:
“After 14 amazing years at Royal Media Services (Citizen TV), my time here has come to an end. My next stop is @BBCNews @BBCAfrica specifically Focus on Africa . I’ll share more details soon, but in the meantime, see you on my last episode of #Newsnight at 9pm on Citizen TV.”

The Citizen TV journalist’s lover Mwanaidy Shishi shared a romantic video on her Instagram page showing how the two have built their love story.
Mwanaidy and Mugambi have kids together and celebrities and other journalists joined in celebrating their union.
